Garage Sales

Well last night Damian's mum texted asking if we wanted to go to some garage sales today.

Well this morning we went to 4 different ones, we brought something from 3 out of the 4.

The first one we got a box of single sheets and Dakota got a lion beanbag for free she was excited over that and loves it

2 sets of single sheets, one all alone single sheet the rest are pillow cases lol

We havent got them up yet as we need longer rails..

Third we got nothing from as it wasnt very big and nothing we kinda needed for the meantime.

The forth well that had toys etc, because Dakota got the lion and Lukas couldnt leave the Mr potato head alone and sat nice playing we got him that

Damian's mum got them something each too, Dakota a doll with cot , Lukas a small fire truck

As you can see the cot on one side is broken, Dakota was sitting watching tv next min grab the cellotape and took off to her room, then brought it back with the cot wanting to fix it..Damian manged to fix the cot so now it doesnt have a boken side

Great bargains and we (Damian and I) didnt spend more than $20...

We did see an awesome desk with book shelf for a corner which would of been prefect to put the tv on, but they wanted $400 for it, no way we were going to pay that for second hand at a garage sale

Op shop shopping

Well tonight i have a housewarming to go to and its wear a skirt or dress for the females but it has to be from a second hand or op shop.

So i went in this morning and found a couple of items got them to hold them while i took Lukas to soccer then headed back to grab a few other things....

Dakota was well bahaved helping me find things, Lukas wouldnt stop running around so i had to get the pram out...GRRRRRRR not like there was room to push a pram around in there and it was busy too...

BUT i got out there with spending $51 for 5 items which i thought was pretty good.

So here is what i got

Yup i have been on Freecycle again.

I love this site.

last night i went and picked up this neat little bookcase.

This is going to go into Lukas room to put some toys onto.. Its such a cool little bookcase i have been eying one of these up for a few years now, just love them.

Today i got

This kiddies tool bench and its great because i have all the tools for it

needs a bit of a clean but that can be a fun game for the kids to do lol

And got this

Yup a balance bike for Dakota, its at mums at the moment as she is going to get a few new bolts for it to keep the front wheel on and the seat from moving.

I also got a huge litter tray, cat food, litter and cat toys which i gave to mum to help her with her foster cats...i got to keep the food for scooby:)

Its awesome.  Thanks to the lovely people giving away free stuff to people that can use it and make good use with it.

Yea i been shopping again 

But this is great, a small little table for the kids to do some drawing on or outside eating, its a little picnic table

The kids love it

I found these books at paper plus for $2 each they really neat.

No colour you pull it out and its got colour

They love watching it turn to colour.

Then we got a free face painting for Dakota, she wanted a princess, then dolphin, then flowers, went to butterfly and then she picked dolphin when the lady asked what she wanted.

She did well to sit still while she painted it on

It looked pretty good:)

Of course this isnt a bargain but a great ending to shopping

Holding hands to go to the car...Lukas will normally scream and Dakota when she tries to grab his hand.

So loved the shopping experience again:)

Dont do alot of shopping for me

today we went to Albany for k-mart as i knew they were having a sale, saw that on Friday, but when we got there today the sale has turned into a major sale everything that was on sale was now half price again.

The highest price i paid for ONE item was $7.50 :O

I was neat, i spent $51.50 all up on 11 items.

He is 7 months old, and just so cute as settled into our home very well and the kids love him.

In albany today and OMG what a sale T and T were having.

Only on some items BUT i couldnt say no to these neat little things.

I do admit they are for Dakota, they didnt have much for boys in set wise so i didnt get Lukas anything, and he is growing alot faster than Dakota she will prob be still wearing these items in the next summer, Lukas wouldnt be wearing size 1's next summer and since summer is nearly over why bother till i know what size he will be in lol.

So for $3 instead of $25 a nice blue dress yup she has a pink one like it BUT i like the blue aswell so had to have it.

Then i spotted this 2 piece outfit for $5 instead of $29.99

And Claire got Mikayla one aswell.

Then of course a hat for $2 instead of $22

Not that she needed another one but this was way to cute on.

So yup $10 all up for these items.

Well today while down at bells and whistles i went into the op shop.

I found some great deals .50cents for videos

So i got 13 videos for $6.50

And Dakota went to the toilet and did wee's and i didnt have any marshmellows with me so i got her to chose a book from the op shop.

This was 50cents.  A great little book got 5 puzzles in it with 12 pieces each.

New site

Well i have found a new site called Freecycle

This is neat, you give away things you would throw out for free, since others could use it.

As the saying goes, your rubbish someone elses treasure.

Well i have put a few things to offer on there and also put a few wants out there.

I have found 3 baby gates and a paddling pool with a shade over it and i will be picking those up tonight.

Its really great for little things you want need/want.

Savemart rocks

As its name says savemart really does save you.

Today went there to find something for damian for the cock fleet on thursday for work

(dont ask cause i dont really want to know)

Well they going hippy/drag like so of course damian found a dress YES A DRESS.  But its ok i will wear it in summer lol.

yes i will HAVE to get photos with him in it, will be funny as.  Wonder if i can wax his legs lol

Then i found a nice black dress as i walked in the door it said M for size and i was like mmmm i dont think it will, Damian then said mm i dont think your boobs will fit in it.  So yes i had to try it on.

By the looks of it, its meant to have glitter all over the flowers but it doesnt so im going to find fabric pens and draw them all on:)  hopefully that will look good.

Of course i did the clean out on Dakotas draws so i wanted to get her a few things.

Starting with a nice skirt, i like this one.  There was a nice light purple one i liked but it wouldn't stay up

Just gotta get a tee or singlet that will go with it as she only has reds and pinks and not alot of nice tops, just at home paint in tops

Then i found her some PJ's as she has three pairs for summer and one of those are getting a bit tight now

Dakota likes these cause its got a "GOG" on it (dog)

The bonus about this set is Lukas will be able to use them after her.

Then i was leaving the babygear area and spotted this neat little dress

It is red, looks pink in photo. Its long sleeve but will fit her for winter or a really cold day/night.

Yup so thats what Dakota got, i couldnt find anything for Lukas but he doesnt actually need any more clothes.  BUT at the counter going to pay i spotted this

Put in on him and it fit, plus he left it on didnt try pulling it off like he does with EVERY hat we have for him.  Im going to sew some red felt on it put some bells on it and it will be christmas

So all this came to $50 which is great normally dresses cost that alone
