Big sister helping little brother

They were punching holes in the box with a old pencil, Dakota was holding Lukas's hand and helping him do it, it was sooo cute...

Trying to write

Well Dakota as we all know just turned 3.

She knows her abc's but you cant understand her...

She has just recently got interested in writing her name and wants me to write it all the time and hold her hand so she can write it aswell.

So tonight i decided to photo what we had done...she was very pleased with it and wanted to try and try and try again..asking me every 2 seconds "mummy help"

So i wrote her name in dotted lines and sat with her. Sorry not the best as we did it in pencil

I helped Dakota with the Da..the k i guided her by nudging the pencil a bit...ot she did on her own and the last a again was a guided one...She did pretty well i reckon

She then decided to try on her own...she likes the a's and t in her name so this is 2 a's and a t...yup the a's look like q's lol...but hey she tried

I wrote her name on the paper like she asked and off she went to her table and came back with this

i wrote Dakota...She wrote Doaa...missed the k and t

Im so proud of her for trying...she loves writing and drawing

So exciting...So proud of my little girl, well done Dakota

Another breakthough for Dakota

This is amazing..

For the last year she has been screaming EVERY time she go to wash her hair, she wouldnt go under the water in the shower hated water going over her head.

Even was doing that yesterday when i had to wash mud out of her hair just screamed.

Tonight however...

I climbed into the shower and sat down in the tub, Dakota climbed in standing facing me and i watched her she moved herself under the water tipping her head backwards getting her hair wet..YES HER HAIR WET.

No screaming no tears and even asked mummy to help, i helped her get it all wet, then i showed her the new kids shampoo i bought its got a friendly crocodile on it, i put the shampoo on Dakota hands and she put it though her hair...i helped her.

So we got the hair wet, shampoo in the hair and no tears and here im thinking o crap how are  we going to get this out of her hair and what you know she put her head under the water and rinsed her hair.

I was soooo proud of her we had to call daddy to come and watch.

She got all excited and for that she got a marshmallow, well the marshmallow was for washing her hair not getting excited lol.

Next time we will get a video as this is an important part in her life and we need it on video lol

All by myself mum

AWWWW Dakota just dressed herself FULLY into her pjs for the first time, tags right way round and did the buttons up...o she is growing, she even opened her nappy placed in on the ground lay on it waiting for me to put it on...Have a video of her doing the buttons as i was dressing Lukas while she was doing the rest.

 I was shooked as yesterday she was still asking for help and not wanting to do anything like that for herself and tonight BAM dressed herself fully.

So this is what she did....

Put singlet on took off put tag at back then put back on

Put nappy on floor open and lay on it, mum did it up

Stood up and put tag at back and pulled pants up

Put shirt on upside down but asked mum to help as she got stuck, i helped her get it right she put it on, i said come here mum do up your buttons, no mum and what you know it she did them all up a little guidance but i didnt touch them.
