Something new

Well the last couple of days i have been trying something new.

Checking emails ONLY during the day, answering what i need to but not sitting down to do anything more than answer the emails i get..have to check during the day incase i get orders etc or an important email lol.

So yesterday i had mum and my sister over for a roast dinner.

Today we went to bells and whistles, home then off to help my sister move her car out of the driveway the batt was dead so we had to push the car, of course she found a guy getting into his car and he brought his car down which had a extra batt so that got it started lol.

Got home and did some sewing

Well i have been thinking and thinking and over thinking about a logo for preschool caddy

I have over thought this toooooo much

Well tonight my brain clicked 

And here it is my new logo

What do you think?

I love it screams bright colours and preschool like...and who doesnt like handprints and of course handprints get remembered..

overall making

Well i have never made overalls before well i have never made pants.

But there is a market out there for boys things so guess what im going to do that boys things.

Well tonight i did a quick mock up of overalls, not pattern used so this is pretty much making my pattern for me.

Now this is the same pair on both kids 

Dakota is size 2 and Lukas size 1.

Just a few things i need to do, make it wider, put buttons on, make the front and back better, and of course add colour....of course i want it bigger so a long sleeve can fit happy under it for winter.

I love overalls on kids and well if i can get these made i will be happy:)

Homemade dresses

Well with my Preschool Caddy page going well now.

I have orders coming in and its a great feeling im really loving it.

Well after a mother asking me if i can make a pinafore as she doesnt want to pay $50 + for a dress.

So off i went to give it a go and see what i could do, i have never made a dress before.

Here is my first attempt

This had a few things i didnt like about it, one it was a little tight around the chest when Dakota tried it on..2 the buttons didnt match and i only had two small enough for the button holes i made.
So of course first attempts are never prefect but hey it was a first attempt.

So i had to give it another go and make another dress, this one is purple/white ripple with bunnies on the bottom.

Now this one i like apart from the bunnies at the bottom dont match up...but this is my first with two different fabrics/patterns.  This dress is also lined with a purple colour.

So after my first and second attempt im feeling pretty pleased and happy i can make them, these both are size 3 so will give smaller sizes a go aswell
