kids book swap

Well Cheekymonkey did another swap

This time it was for the kids, a book swap...i entered my kids in twice as we could get 2 books each as that is what we were allowed to do, meant i was buying 4 books.

Forgot to get a photo of the books i brought but that's okay i got the photos of the kids getting there ones, waited till all 4 were here before i did this post.

Lukas was first to received one of his from Thomas

Its a jungle book with sounds on the side, he loves it and all i heard for the first hour was all the noises the animals made.  It is also a lift the flap book

Then Lukas got the second parcel too from Lauren

This was a lift flap book again with animals, Lukas loves animals and loves lift the flap books

Dakota was getting a little upset that Lukas was getting parcels then one day there was a parcel for her from Lincoln, 4 books WOW, she loved then different books and she loves the dinosaur one the most.

Today the last book arrived no brainer it was for Dakota from Lara, needless to say Dakota was very very excited over this book it has penguins in it, she sat down for an hour just talking with me of what animals were in the book and what noises, movements etc they did.  Great to match in on what daddy did beginning of the year with Antarctica, with polar animals 

Was a great swap and was nice to get books, our limit was $10 and under, its amazing what you can do for that price..its also great to see the kids get a parcel and open it.

And while im at it i voted for Cheeky Monkey for the netguide awards in the best online forum, for "Where do you go to vent your frustrations?"

This site is really my true get away from it all site...if you could vote them for me i would really love it, Sharyn the person that runs it, is fab, she really does make it a safe place and the admins aswell, the members are just like family and there is NO judging what so ever...a few friendly debates but who doesnt like those lol

Choc swap

Well over at Cheeky Monkey we did a chocolate swap.

I got home tonight and found my parcel waiting for me.

OMG.....Wait till you see this.

Christmas Swaps

Yup SWAPS lol

This year i entered two Christmas swaps so i will put both here as i have received all.

So i will start with the Cheeky Monkey swap.

I got this really neat family tree sent to me and made by the lady herself:)

Very talented.

 It even had a letter for each of our names, on the Left hand side a D for Damian and under that L for Lukas, on the Right hand side a S for Sharlene and D for Dakota.

All i have to do now is put a photo of all 4 of us in it

I got Bronwyn and i sent her off a small stocking and a candy cane

 Doesnt it look good on her tree, her son Michael likes it too, he likes putting things inside the stocking:)

Then i did a Christmas swap with Sew-Funky where we had a group of 6 of us and we had to make 5 ornaments one for each person excluding ourselves.

Well i sent them all a stocking like i made for Bron of course with their letter of there name on it though.

Cant see alot in the photo but you get the picture lol, nothing on the bottom as that is stopping the kiddies from touching and pulling off.

Of course while taking photos Dakota wanted a photo of the ornament she made at the last day of music last week, so here is Dakota's star

I helped her a little, she stuck the stars together and the little stars around, and stuck the words on, i put all the ribbon on.

Here is Lukas's one

Well i really did help Lukas, i stuck it all together apart of the little star i put the glue on and he stuck the little stars on, but he pulled them off after he stuck them on so this is what i rescued.

Thanks again to everyone that sent something and has made our christmas tree soooo pretty, im loving the hand made things, over the years i reckon the tree will only have hand made on it.

Christmas Ornament Swap

With Cheeky Monkey.

Today i received my swap gift.

Its really neat and i love it, will find a family photo to put in it.

This was hand made and so neat.  Great idea and the lovely lady that made this, her daughter wanted to put a sheet of stickers in too

This is the close up of the letters on the tree, each letter is for each person in the house:) on the right hand side are the girls and the left are the boys

I have yet to get my giftee a gift, but that will be tomorrows mission and will be sent off.  Once they have received it i will update this post

Sticker swap

Well Cheeky Monkey had another swap.

So we got given a child to send stickers to.

Today she got her stickers. opened them at dinner

Dakota was so happy, even though they were sent to Lukas aswell she shared he got the ones she didnt want lol.

Teatowel Swap

Well over at cheeky monkey Bronwyn held a teatowel swap just like the mothers day and sock swap.

We all put our names down if we wanted to do the swap and of course i had to do it:)  Bron then put everyone to each other and off the sending went.

I got sent my name Sharyn (who runs cheeky monkey) so i had to do a quick back ground check on her to find the perfect teatowel, well i couldnt decide on just one so ended up sending her 2.

I got an email saying my ones were going to be a little late but thats okay, well today after getting home from my neighbours place there was a parcel waiting for me, was exciting i love mail.

Open it up and what ya know its a teatowel from Kerstyn.

Its beautiful thats for sure.
