Family Affair in the sewing room

Decided to start on the Christmas stockings today and have got four done, Damian wanted to make his own so he is still making it, hopefully by the time i have finished writing he will have it finished lol.

So i started off with cutting out patterns etc and working out what i wanted for each stocking.

The hangers are on the other side so it doesnt tilt over, plus for the kids used a heart plastic tag to use to hang them up over the fireplace.

Started making one for Dakota, she picked green then screaming cause she wanted the red so Dakota got red and a xmas tree on it. (Dakota likes trees)

So i used felt for the outside, inside is red satin and a white fleece on top.  Felt for the tree, presents and star, then i used glitter pens for the tree and name.  6 bells on the tree.  All i have to do is the bows on the presents but i wanted it to dry a little first.

Then i did one for Lukas, green with a snowman

His was also made with felt, green satin for the inside.  The snowman was made of white fleece and felt, buttons for his eyes, and bells for the buttons down his front.  His name was done with glitter pens.

Then i started making one for me, but it didnt turn out how i wanted MY one so i ended up turning it into Calebs.  Blue with presents.

Calebs one was made with blue felt and a see through material, (not sure what the actual name is) then i made the presents with felt and glitter glue pens then made some holy for the pens aswell.  His name is alot easier to read in person, the photo doesnt make the yellow very good.

Caleb is my step son and we are meant to have him for xmas this year

Then i finally worked out how i wanted my one.  Green with a see through material and green satin inside.

I turned the inside outside so there was a bit of the inside green satin showing on the outside, then i added the white fleece around the botton of the inside/outside bit. Then used glitter pens to do the writing.  I love how it came out a nice reddy/purple colour.

Damian just got his one finished so here it is

He used red felt and nothing for the inside, outside also has a see through material on it.  Used the sewing machine to do a pattern at the top then used the glitter glue pens for the words and bells.  He has yet to put the hang up tie part on.

So while we were in there making stocking of course the kids were in there aswell, turns out i have to share my sewing room.

Was lots of fun, so will take these as examples to the stall im going to:)
