Setting up for the big day

Well everything is set for tomorrow.

Cake is made

Just very simple as i wanted to play around with the icing etc and see how it feels and how it works.

I did a sponge cake not sure what it will taste like as i have NEVER made a sponge cake before.

But i thought a first go looked pretty good, considering i have never worked with any of this before.

Im sure Lukas will eat it no matter what it taste like:)

Then i have set up his presents in the lounge on a box with a table cloth over it

Now to see what happens in the morning, hopefully Lukas is up before Dakota or i will be getting up early to mediate.

Now all these presents are NOT from us. The ones on the left in silver wrapping and the small one in front are from mummy, daddy and Dakota.  Will do him up a card tonight of course.  On the right there are 3 wrapped in winnie the pooh paper those are from Nana J (Damians mum) and then the one right at the back is from westfield, he got a card and you take the card in and exchange it for a present.

Today he got a present early

Went to mainly music today and cause Lukas is turning 1 tomorrow he got a sticker and little present, not that he went and got it, he went all shy.  So Dakota being a good big sister did it for him.

 Here is the sticker Dakota put it on his back so he wouldnt eat it and told him "no" at the same time, and the little present Dakota picked out for him was a little tiger finger puppet.

Of course this week leading up to his birthday, cards started arriving.

Growing up NZ since we have joined that.

And of course the Navy they send out cards for all their kids that are on the books

Lukas woke tonight while i was blogging and found the presents and started walking around with the smallest one, and while he was up Damian was reading the local flagstaff paper and Lukas was in it, so we showed Lukas the paper, he actually got excited lol

 Finally got him back to bed,

This was at the toy library's birthday.  Lukas was enjoying the bubbles and water.

Cant be missed the last sleep till he is the big 1

Well it was meant to be but he wont stay in bed and asleep little monkey so we let him open a present lol

So we gave him the westfield one

But instead he found the small one again and off he went

Finally got that off him and he opened the present he was allowed

 Inside was 2 lollies and 2 balloons, Damian and i ate the lollies and i blew the balloons up for Lukas, he is happy chasing the balloons around the lounge and hitting them.
