Learning about colours

Daddy and Dakota sat down to do some science little did Dakota know it was science.

What you need is a large see though cup, yard glass etc, food colouring primary colours, blue, yellow and red, spoon, straw, water and one small child excited to play

Pour the water into the large vessle

Get child to pick a colour

Pour picked colour into the top of the vessle

Blow though the straw to get colour at the bottom

Once done, get child to pick another colour, pref yellow so it goes green (guide them to the colour you need)

Tip the yellow into the straw

Move the straw slowly up watch the colour mix

Last colour red, let child tip some of this into the top

Watch the colour change again....give it a little stir

Kids totally love watching things change, even though they dont fully understand it.
