First night with no dummy

Well yesterday i cut one of Dakotas dummies in the afternoon she put it into the bin (she didnt like that i cut it)

Last night before bed, i cut another one and gave it to her to she didnt like that, cried for 10mins and got a little upset over it, then i heard her get out of bed, and the wash house door open.  i checked after i heard her get back into bed and she has put her dummy in the bin.

Dakota sat in bed and read and played for an hour then it was all quiet around 8pm, went and checked and she was asleep.  WOOHOO, no fuss.

BUT....

I went into her room at 9pm to check on her and look what i found

 Yup that is a dummy in her mouth she found another one, so i rang Claire cause i have never dealt with removing a dummy before, and well she said to take it from her, hehe so i did.

No fuss when i took and hid it.

At 3am i had a upset girl next to my bed, she was screaming and having a big fuss that woke Lukas up, so put Dakota back into her bed screaming, and fixed Lukas up.

Went back to Dakota calmed her down and talked to her about how she is a big girl and big girls dont have dummies, explained that mummy doesnt have one and her friends Mikayla and Alex dont have one and she settled down, lay down and it was alll quiet.

She must of gone back to sleep so off to sleep i went again and was woken with a "boo mum" from Dakota at 7am.  AND NO TEARS OVER NOT HAVING THE DUMMY.

So i have made her a sticker chart for the no dummy

 

Going to do it for 4 weeks, by then a dummy should be in the pass.  Daddy will be sooo proud.

After each week she gets to go to the $2 shop and get a small treat, after the 4th week she gets a big prize, so i will see what i have in the room or a trip to warehouse, kmart, farmers might be in order for her to get her very special big girl prize (i know what i want to get her lol, will have to convince her)
