Im on a sewing buzz and decided to make a few things.
We have Caleb up for the week (my step son) and well he gets to sit on a chair at the table like a big person Dakota WASNT have a bar of sitting in her portable seat so wanted to sit on the chair like a big person too. The only problem with this is, she is too small to do this.
Well i decided to make her a little cushion, with her choice of fabric i set out to make her something to sit on and something that is washable if need be. Damian got the old cushions to our old couch and opened them up to find foam, prefect for this project to put into Dakotas new cushion cover.
So we now have a little seat for a little girl, who now can sit at the table without her portable seat.
Of course like many of my items i make this is reversible too with ties at the back to tie onto the chair so it doesnt fall off. Dakota got sooo excited over it she keeps running out "mummy made, kota seat" Of course in her way of talking.
While Caleb is here, Damian asked if he had a book bag here is the conversation
Damian: do you have a book bag
Caleb: yes
Damian: what colour
Caleb: blue
Damian: would you like a new one
Caleb: ummmm
Damian; would you like to chose a new fabric for Sharlene to make you one
Caleb: Yes please
i went outside to hang out washing and i came back and Caleb asks if he could have whales as his book bag.
So while Damian had the kids at the park i made him up a book bag.
Even put his name on it, not that it should get misplaced as he will be the only one with this one.
And again these wonderful fabrics are from Hazel over at Sew Addictive Fabrics
