birthday cake

Well Dakotas birthday is 2 days away now, so i have started making the cake.

So far i have sworn at it, and got upset as it didnt do what i wanted it to do...but its ok i have fixed it.

So after 1 cake then 2 double batch cakes i have finally got something that looks kinda like a cake

So my first sqaure cake and half of the double batch cake is here

this is when i started going NOOOOOOOO this isnt how i pictured it, its soooo wrong.

Especially when you see the next photos

The next photos are my first double batch cake gone WRONG.

So i have used a little bit to make the edge on the main cake, you will see in the next photo.

I made another double batch to do the volcano.

so here it is...just needs icing and the rest of the details:)

excuse the glass as i needs skewers to hold it up, and the icing will cover that...there is a hole in the top...

To make the volcano i used this stacking toy

So tomorrow i will do a post about icing it, 4 different butter icings:)
