Cold chilly day

OMG lets start the day with a BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRr

Yup it was sooooo cold today, i had to get the fire cranking both kids in layers of clothes till the house warmed up and some layers could finally come off.

Cabin fever has set in on my kids, too cold to go for a walk, too cold to play outside and both kids have a cold so no point in them being in the cold.

So we had to make fun inside

We started off with drawing by the fire, rainbows and people, my sister came in and drew a tree with sunshine...

Then Dakota wanted to do tea set (since lukas was in bed) she wanted water too, so i got some warm water a mat down and off she went of course Lukas only had 30mins sleep and was playing too..i even put some yellow into the water

Of course because it was water play and it gets cold after a while, they decided to have a bath which was fine by me, they took the tea set with them and stayed in there for an hour...was nice not listening to the fighting, they actually played nice

BUT...

IT DIDNT STAY FUN FOR LONG

I needed to get dinner started and so they could eat, well while i was in the kitchen they broke both lids off the toy boxes in the bedroom, tipped the rest of the food colouring on the floor, on their hands and drunk it, took ALL clothes out of the dressers, trashed the bedroom and my lounge....

Did it all while giggling which they do when they are playing so i didnt think anything of it, until Lukas came into the kitchen and i saw yellow all over him.  This made one very angry upset mummy...so time out for both kids and they were made to help clean up....

OMG i am sitting in a nice clean lounge at the moment though, so thats good, the bedroom well its half clean im not even going there with it.

Tomorrow we have a busy day

bells and whistles which is a playgroup (YAY adult time)

home for lunch

Dakota then has polkadots, Sarah will have Lukas

then we head to my nanas for my step dad to watch the kids

Mum, sarah and myself will then go and see Phil (RIP)

So yup a busy day ahead
