We have toilet training success

Been toilet training Dakota on and off for just over a year now, and well we did everything we could think of...

We tried

Sticker charts first

Praising

Marshmallows

Getting her a princess seat and step up

NOTHING seemed to work for this child, i took her to the doctor for bladder infections maybe, nope she was fine, we just guessed she wasnt ready and didnt wanna know...so we put her back in nappies...

Well one day i was shopping with her and she spotted a toy she wanted so we did toilet train with a twist so i brought the toy and gave it a go, and it was working she lost the toy when she wet her knickers and got it back after 3 toilets in a row as she is 3 lol.

So this was about 3 weeks ago when she started clicking more and more and doing pretty well...then last week she started asking for marshmallows each time she went toilet well this was fine i went with it...

BUT

OMG

On thursday she wet 7 times, YES 7 changes of clothes top, pants AND socks

I started thinking OMG here we go again, thinking about putting her back into nappies, then on Friday there were more wet items, Sat was a good day and she did well with us telling her to go toilet.

THEN

Sunday when dropping Damian off at the airport we went and changed the kids in the parents room and Dakotas nappy was dry after a 12 hour sleep...then she went toilet...Monday she started preschool and she came home dry after i sent her with 4 sets of clothes and a extra pair of shoes lol.

So since Sunday she has woken dry every morning so thats 4 mornings so far, and 4 full days dry...

She is even taking herself and asking to go, instead of standing there and going, or me reminding her...when we leave the house or somewhere i always get her to try and go which i think has started getting a habit into her...

such a proud mummy, and so proud of her hard work too, she has even learnt to turn her back to the toilet and slide herself onto the toilet instead of putting a foot on the toilet and standing on it to sit down..

So she has done it
