Well today we went out for an adventure with our neighbour, Claire, Mikayla and Alex.
Our adventrue started this morning at 9.30am when we left the house, after packing a bag for the kids.
Here are the kids in the car on the way to Devonport ferry for a ride into town.
Dont they look cool and ready for the day?
We arrived at the ferry building and couldnt find a all day carpark so i decided to risk it and park in the 180min space and hoping i wouldnt get a parking ticket. Claire and the kids were already waiting for us when we arrived. I parked the car and got out and was greeted by Miklaya who took Dakotas hand and off we went heading for the ferry.
Such a great little helper Mikayla is:)
We got into the building and got our return tickets the kids found the coin ride on toys so we let them have a play on them without money and they thought this was great.
Lukas sat and watched from his pram
Dakota and Miklaya spotted the ferry coming in and ran to the window to have a look getting very excited.
The kids enjoyed the ride on the ferry from Devonport to Auckland city. Went outside to wave to the kids daddy's on the devonport navy base (not that we could actually see them).
It was a little windy and cold outside so we didnt stay out there for long. The kids enjoyed standing on the seats to watch where we were going.
When we got to the city we got off the ferry and met up with the rest of the coffee group who caught the birkenhead ferry there were a few of us in total lol. We walked to the train station the kids did so well, and we waited for our train.
Taught the kids to stay behind the yellow line and they did that, of course we had to tell them a few times.
When the train arrived, it was very nosiy and Dakota screamed and turned to run scared, so big cuddles settled her but she didnt want mum she wanted Claire. After the train stopped and it was time to get on she was feeling better and happy as to hop on the train and sit on a seat, or in her case stand on the seat so she could see out the window.
Alex tried walking down the train while we were on the move, he was very wobbly but its was sooooo cute
Dakota was hiding behind the back seats playing games with a guy sitting in the seat across.
Lukas was looking very sleepy with the movement of the train, he was almost asleep a few times then a loud noise would happen and he woke again.
We arrived to syliva park shopping center and got off the train, the kids stood and waved bye to the train and watched it leave.
We then found the lift that was going to take us up the stairs for us to walk across the tracks then down another lift to get to where we wanted to be, we had to do it in 3 trips as we all couldnt fit in the lift.
We walked though the shopping center to the food court where by that time it was 11.30am and kids getting hungry and adults wanting drinks. We found a playground where we let all the kids go for a run and get some of the engery out.
Time for Lunch, i had to find something that Dakota could eat that was gluten free so we found sushi rice with avocado, she ate one and that was it, she shared two with Alex and Lukas had two aswell. Dakota had her banana and biscuit she just wanted to play more.
No photo of Dakota eating it as she told me no lol.
After we had eaten changed nappies and got everyone rounded up it was time to get going so we could make the 1.50 train. The kids waited behind the yellow line again watching for the train. My two sat in the pram, looking tired than ever but still never went to sleep.
We got on the train and Dakota and Lukas both wanted out of the pram so i let them, and they had a ball. Our group had the last cart to ourselves and the kids made sooooo much noise, would of scared anyone off anyway.
Dakota had fun looking out the window and climbing up and down the seats, Lukas i put down on the floor where he spun in circles and had a blast.
Train ride went quick and off to the ferry we went to head home.
Stood outside watching where we were going again this time it was better wasnt sooo cold. Got to Devonport with 4 well behaved kids and a great day. So a ride on the ride on toys was a treat and they got it.
On the way home Dakota and Lukas fell asleep so i carried on pass home to Glenfield to pick up some more nappies, then headed home, we got home at 4.45.
Both kids did so well thoughout the day it was such a great day, cant wait to have another day like it.
After a long day, both kids being up at 6.30am.
Both are tucked away in bed and sleeping.
SO CUTE!!!!!!
