Oz trip Day 1

Tuesday 28^th December

Our plane waiting for us.

Left New Zealand at 9.25am, on the way over I watched two movies, “she is out of my league” and “Nanny Mcphee, the big bang”.  Both good movies, the last one finished as we landed in brisbane, great timing I reckon.  On the flight had a gin and lemonade and breakfast, baked beans, eggs, sausage, fruit and a muffin.

When we arrived in Brisbane at 9.55am Rosemary and granddad were standing there waiting for us, then I was a hour drive to get to the goldcoast, so they took us out to lunch as a place called sharks, that was a really neat place, had shakes in a tank in the entrance and fish in another tank.  The kids area was amazing, lots to do.  We had a baffae  I had 2 small meals and main roast and then of course ice cream. 

The weather wasn’t the best at all on Tuesday, we ended up back at granddad place had a hot drink then was taken to the hotal “vibe” they upgraded our room which was nice, we have a great view over the canal.

Tuesday night we ended up doing a little bit of food shopping, then headed out again to the shops, it was very busy so we didn’t see much, but ended up in the time zone, and had a few fun games, it was big, and more games than the time zones in NZ.

After being out and about we headed back to the hotel for some sleep.
