Sorry i cant be bothered writing it all out and finding the photos as that is 7 days work.

Thursday 30th December
Well today we didn’t do a lot at all, we stayed at the hotel in the morning went swimming etc until Rosemary came and took us to Australia fair to see a dentist to get my tooth fixed. $118 later I had a temp filling put on my tooth, it feels weird.
Then we went shopping of course, and yup brought a few things.
Photo frame placemats, some stickers for lukas, and a few other bits and pieces.
Later on once we found our way back to the motel we got dressed up and headed off to the RSL (which is like the RSA) and had dinner, cheap meals that are huge couldn’t finish the whole thing off, if we knew how big they were going to be would of got one to share.
Then we headed to Jupiters Casino where we had $20 each to use, we couldn’t play any of the big games like poker, black jack as those were priced over our heads but we played pokies for a couple of hours. Didn’t win anything but had fun anyway.
Friday 31st December (last day of 2010)
Today we headed to Dreamworld, and left early this time. When we got there we got though before the crowds skipped the lines and everything. We had a flybuys voucher for dreamworld and that makes you get in though the international guest area, so we got in at 9.15am, with a 10% voucher for all food and drinks which was neat.
By 10.15am we had done 4 rides.
Cyclone, wipeout, the claw and the Mick Doohans Motocoaster.
The cyclone and motocoaster weren’t that exciting, but loved the wipeout and the claw.
Of course we did a few more rides before huge crowds like
Thunder river rapid ride, rocky hollow log ride, the gaint drop and avis vintage cars. The tower of terror was a 1.5hour wait and we didn’t feel like waiting that long so we skipped that.
We also checked out the croc feed experience and the Australian sheep shearing show.
Checked out the nickelodeon central and wiggles world to see what that was like to see if we wanted to take the kids sometime and when.
It was a great day, the whole time we were there it didn’t seem too packed or hard to walk around.
We left at 3.30pm.
Then of course it being new years eve, we had to ventured out for the goldcoast fireworks. We left the hotel at 7.30pm the set up was on the beach, we ended up in another club for drinks and pokies, and we upstairs to watch the 9pm fireworks they were neat, and the road was packed no one could move. Then at 12pm there was another huge explosive fireworks display bigger than the 9pm one, and the crowd was a lot bigger, there was packs of people everywhere.
We brought the new year in while drinking, watching fireworks and winning money on the pokies.
Saturday 1st January 2011.
First day of the new year and we slept in till 9.30am was really nice to be that since been waking at 6.30am each morning.
Today wasn’t a hot day infact it was raining, but we still ended up going out in the afternoon headed off to pacific fair to watch a movie “little fockers”. We need to make it out there again to check out all the shops since half were closed and half closing. When we got out of the great movie it was 6pm so everything was closed then.
So we finished off a relaxing day with some tv, food and relaxing.
Depending on weather, off to movieworld tomorrow
Sunday 2nd January
Well off to movieworld today, we were all ready and at the bus stop by 7.15 but the first bus didn’t arrive till 8.15am so had to go and do something for an hour.
Once we got to movieworld there wasn’t much of a line, but then again there were heaps of people that prepaid so that line was big. We were let in about 9ish and what ya know there was a line just to get to the rides, not on a ride to get though the park, they opened that up at 9.30ish so we started walking towards the rides that weren’t near the entry and yup that was blocked off too, so many people were waiting to go though, this is prob my dislike of this park, I reckon they should of let people just walk though like the other parks and let us line up at the rides so we are there and waiting instead we waited in the hot sun for the rope to come down at 10.15am.
There were people running etc so they could be first in line for the rides, even though the safety message said no running. We headed over to “Wild west falls adventure ride” The line for this wasn’t long at all so we headed onto that, and yup got wet big time so did it again before the crowd got long.
We did a throw balls into a bucket to win, and well I didn’t get any balls to stay in the bucket they kept bouncing out and Damian got 1 ball in, I won a small swordfish toy and damian a jester hat.
After that we did
“Scooby-Doo spooky coaster” which is surprising fun, even gave Damian enough to let out a small scream
“Lethal weapon” Yup the name said it all, it was scary I screamed and freaked didn’t help I had a headache so being thrown around didn’t help me much.
We found something to eat and then as we were going pass the “4D adventure – Journey to the centre of the earth” they were entering into the ride so we jumped into the line and got in for a time. Now that was awesome, started off in a room with soooo many people then afterwards into a big room with seats, sit down and seats move, water sprays and so did air. It was a neat experience.
Still had a headache and starting losing feeling in my legs and arms so off to find some panadol and ended up in the first aid center, prob the best place considering my headache got worse and then started throwing up. Damian called his grandparents and they came to get us and take us back to the hotel as I couldn’t stay at the park. But they did give us 2 adult passes to use another day after 12 vaild for 3months.
A little gutted but when your not well you kinda cant do anything anyway.
Didn’t get to see the kids area but from what I quickly saw looked pretty good.
Headed back to hotel and I had a 2 hour sleep woke up feeling better, but it was better I stayed at the hotel, I think Monday will just be a day to check out more shops as going back would be a bad idea. Just gives me something to look forward to next time we come over,
Monday 3rd January
Didn’t do a lot today at all, went out to find breakfast but after a bite I felt sick still so we headed back to the room and stayed there till 2pm where we caught a bus to habour town.
Grandad and rosemary picked us up and took us to their place for dinner.
Roast chicken with all the trimings, was very nice.
We were then dropped back off to the hotel later on that night.
Tuesday 4th January
We didn’t do a lot today went for a morning swim then rosemary picked us up and took us to habour town to have a look around then off to the train station.
We got on the train ready for the airport
On the train their was a toilet yes a toilet that’s pretty cool of course I had to use it and take photos of the room, cause it was really neat.
We got to the airport and a long wait for our plane, when we got on the plane it left early so we landed in NZ an hour early 11pm instead of 12. We were out of the airport by 12.30 and back at mums before 12.
Tuesday 5th January
Was really great to wake up and see the kids, big hugs and kisses.
Had a family day today, chilled at home, got washing etc done. Then took the kids swimming that was fun.
