Operation for Lukas

Yup yet again ANOTHER operation for our family cause 5 already isnt enough

 So the totals now are

Dakota 3

Damian 2

Lukas 2

So the total is 7

Im feeling a little left out LOL....yea not really

Well today we headed to the hospital leaving home at 6.30am got there at 7am..

We waited in the room for a while, reading books and talking to the nurses, doctors and the surgeon

Going exploring around the rooms...cute outfit huh?

Then sitting reading books for a short amount of time, mummy read all the books first

Looking out the window he was excited to watch the tree blowing around

At 8am he saw the food in the bag and wanted it, i had to whip him away from it so we cuddled on the bed under the cover watching good morning..

He slowly fell asleep

He slept for an hour (he woke himself) and we were called in..I held Lukas while they put the mask on, he didnt fight, or cry was a good boy, he did however keep his dummy in his mouth AND his blanket at hand...I then gave him a kiss and walked out.

An hour later i was greeted by the surgeon and he explained it was all done but they were waiting for Lukas to wake..

Now Lukas had done  Hypospadias repair, Meatoplasty and Circumcision

Now as told by the surgeon

They pulled the foreskin back noticed the pee hole wasnt right so had to do a small snip and put stitches in the top he will pee out two holes till the stitches dissolve away...

They then has to inject something into his will and make him get an erection so they could see if it stood up right or bent, turns out it was very badly bent so they  had to pull the foreskin back right down like a sock (his words lol) so snipping it to detach it from him...then reattach with stitches but to where it should be...

After everything was done and looking how it is meant to he then was circumcised

Once i got the call and went and still Lukas in recovery he was one upset little boy cuddling his favorite nurse..I handed him his dummy and blanket and he came to me for big as cuddles, and wouldnt let go, i couldnt even put him down on the bed once in our room even to go toilet..

So of course cuddles on the bed while i finished watching good morning
(sorry bout the photos was hard to take as i couldnt see what i was taking a photo of lol, on the phone)

He cuddled for ages, and i finally got him lying next to me and read him some more stories, he liked that

The nurse came in and offered him a iceblock which he was happy to take and eat.

he then ate the vege chips i took in for him

Then ate back two weetbixs...of course he hadnt eaten since 4.30 tuesday afternoon so yup he would be hungry...

He then realised he couldnt move his legs very well or stand up so ended up sitting reading books well kinda lying more like it.

At 12.30pm we were allowed to head home so i got him changed and off we went, still couldnt feel his legs...

Got home and put him to watch wiggles just to stop him trying to walk for a little while it worked, he watched it for about 30mins

You can see in that photo he couldnt put his legs together as he had no control over them...

At 2pm today he got up and walked looked funny but did it

Just did my first nappy change on him 4 hours after the op, nappy wasnt very wet and OMG the poor boy, was starting to go blue underneath and looked very very sore, i was scared to put the cream on but did it, have to put Vaseline on the nappy to stop the nappy rubbing.

He had a shower with me tonight as i was worried about his wound, well he didnt seem to care, he was playing with it, and tipping water all over it...

After his shower he just crashed out

So that was Lukas and his op, we have to see the GP in a week and have to be checked at the hospital in 3months, in the meantime any bleeding or anything that shouldn't happen happens he is to go to starship.
